Triangle Kush is a 70% indica and 30% sativa cultivar with uncertain origins. It is commonly associated with a Florida-derived OG Kush lineage, although its exact parentage remains disputed. This feminised selection is listed with approximately 18–21% THC and up to 0.5% CBD. Figures are indicative rather than assured, as final expression varies with phenotype, environment and cultivation.

The aromatic profile combines citrus, earthy herbs and dry wood with diesel and sour accents. Limonene, myrcene and beta-caryophyllene are the principal terpenes associated with the cultivar. Individual experiences are subjective, but Triangle Kush is often described as beginning with an uplifting, euphoric mood before settling into a relaxed and calming feel. Some people may find the later experience sleepy or better suited to a quiet evening.

Growing in the named country

In New Zealand, Triangle Kush suits growers with some previous experience. Its intermediate difficulty reflects a preference for stable conditions, measured feeding and attentive moisture control. The cultivar can perform in temperate regions as well as hot, dry settings. In humid districts, airflow and canopy spacing are especially important for reducing mould risk around dense flowers.

For outdoor planning, spring planting falls between September and November. Select a warm, sunny position sheltered from harsh winds and prolonged rain. Local conditions vary considerably from the upper North Island to cooler southern areas, so timing should follow actual temperatures, daylight and exposure rather than the calendar alone.

Indoor

Indoors, plants may reach up to 120 cm. A controlled environment makes it easier to maintain steady temperatures and manage the indica-dominant structure. Light training and selective thinning can open the canopy without placing unnecessary stress on the plant. Keep air moving above and below the foliage, and allow the growing medium to approach an appropriate level of dryness between irrigation cycles.

Flowering generally takes 9–10 weeks. Under favourable conditions, the stated indoor yield is up to 500 g/m², but this is a reference figure rather than a promise. Lighting, root space, phenotype, nutrition and grower experience all influence the outcome.

Outdoor

Outdoors, Triangle Kush may grow to up to 150 cm and is best matched with a sunny site offering good drainage. Its listed outdoor potential is up to 700 g per plant in favourable conditions. Support branches as flowers gain weight, and inspect sheltered parts of the canopy after wet weather. In exposed gardens, wind protection can help limit branch damage while preserving ventilation.

Harvest

New Zealand outdoor harvest commonly falls from March to May, depending on region, planting time and seasonal weather. Monitor flower development and the plant’s overall maturity rather than relying on a fixed date. Indoors, use the 9–10 week flowering range as a guide while allowing for phenotype variation. Harvested flowers are associated with earthy citrus, woody herbs and a lingering sour-diesel finish that gives Triangle Kush its distinctive character.
