Sirius Black is a feminised, photoperiod hybrid with an approximately balanced 50% sativa and 50% indica profile. Its precise lineage is uncertain or undisclosed, so growers should expect some variation between individual plants. Catalogue figures place THC at around 20–25% and CBD at 0–0.1%, although cannabinoid levels vary with phenotype, environment and cultivation.

The aromatic profile combines citrus, lemon and sweet fruit with earthy, woody and pungent undertones. Limonene, myrcene and beta-caryophyllene are the principal listed terpenes. Growing in New Zealand

This intermediate-level selection can suit hot, dry districts, temperate areas and cooler regions with shorter summers. For an outdoor New Zealand cycle, germination and planting generally fit spring, from September to November, once local temperatures are suitable. In exposed or humid locations, choose a sunny position with good airflow and free-draining soil to reduce risk from wind stress and mould.

Indoor

Indoors, plants may reach up to 120 cm. A controlled canopy, selective pruning and gentle branch training can help use the available light efficiently. Outdoor

Select a site receiving strong direct sun, while allowing enough access to inspect branches after rain or strong winds. Cooler districts may benefit from an early spring start in a sheltered setting before plants are moved to their final position.

Regular canopy checks are especially useful during late summer and autumn. Remove damaged plant material, maintain airflow and avoid leaving dense growth pressed against damp surfaces. Container plants offer flexibility where shelter or sun exposure changes through the season.

Harvest

New Zealand outdoor harvest typically falls from March to May, depending on latitude, planting time, phenotype and seasonal weather. Observe flower maturity rather than relying only on calendar dates. Indoor crops are generally ready after the stated 8–9 week flowering window.

Expect citrus, sweet-fruit and earthy notes to become more pronounced as flowers mature. Final colour, aroma, size and potency remain dependent on the individual plant and its growing conditions.
