Shiskaberry is a feminised, indica-dominant photoperiod cultivar created from Blueberry and Afghani genetics. Its 80% indica and 20% sativa profile supports sturdy growth, broad foliage and compact flower development. THC is listed at 15–20%, while CBD is listed at 0–2%.

Sweet berry and blueberry flavours lead the profile, with myrcene, caryophyllene and pinene contributing earthy, peppery and fresh aromatic accents. Individual experiences vary, but Shiskaberry is often described as feeling relaxed and happy while retaining a focused, talkative edge. Growing in New Zealand

Presented in the Kiwi Seed Bank catalogue, Shiskaberry is considered a beginner-friendly option thanks to its manageable structure and relatively short 7–9 week flowering period. As a photoperiod cultivar, flowering begins when the daily light cycle shortens. Feminised seeds are intended to produce female plants, although natural variation remains possible.

For New Zealand’s southern-hemisphere cycle, outdoor planting generally falls in spring, from September to November, once local temperatures are suitable. Shiskaberry is listed for hot, dry, temperate and cool, short-season climates. Site selection remains important: good sunlight, airflow and shelter from severe weather can support healthy development and reduce the risk of mould in dense flowers.

Indoor

Indoors, plants may reach up to 150 cm, depending on container size, vegetative time, lighting and training. The naturally bushy form can respond well to gentle canopy management, helping light reach more flowering sites. Allow enough spacing between plants to maintain airflow around the foliage.
