Growing in New Zealand

Runtz is considered an intermediate-level cultivar and is best suited to growers who can maintain steady conditions. In New Zealand, outdoor planting generally falls within spring, from September to November, once local temperatures are reliably mild. It can suit temperate areas as well as hot, dry locations, although regional weather, latitude and site exposure will shape performance.

Good airflow matters in humid districts. Keep foliage open, avoid persistently wet growing media and inspect dense flower sites regularly to reduce mould risk. Indoor
