Growing in New Zealand

Animal Face is considered an intermediate-level cultivar. It can develop substantial vertical growth, so planning for height, airflow and branch support is useful. Feminised seeds are intended to produce female plants, although environmental conditions and individual seed variation can influence development.

In New Zealand, outdoor planting generally aligns with spring, from September to November, once local conditions are suitably warm and settled. This cultivar is best matched with temperate or hot, dry conditions. In humid districts, choose an open position with good sun and airflow to reduce the risk of mould around dense flowers.

Indoor

The listed outdoor yield is up to 750 g per plant in favourable conditions. Performance can vary considerably between New Zealand regions and seasons. Warmer, drier areas are likely to offer the easiest fit, while cooler or wetter locations may require closer moisture management.

Harvest

Outdoor harvest in New Zealand typically falls between March and May, depending on planting time, latitude and seasonal weather. Watch flower maturity rather than relying on a fixed calendar date.
