Growing in New Zealand

Autoflowering plants move into bloom according to age rather than a changing light cycle, which can simplify scheduling. They generally prefer a stable environment, moderate feeding and minimal disruption to the root zone.

For New Zealand outdoor gardens, spring planting falls between September and November. Select a sunny, sheltered position with free-draining soil or growing media. Conditions vary considerably between Northland, coastal districts, inland areas and the lower South Island, so local temperature, wind and rainfall should guide timing.
